my heart hurts for this child and what she went thru.
Get this person's name out there, go to the police, to the media, place his name and picture in signs around the Kingdom Hall, his neighborhood, his place of work. Get him recognized as a child molestor. Who knows how many victims he has had.

i am not a jw and have never been one but i have a friend who married a jw and converted.
in spite of the bunk barometer going off in my brain over the years and never responding to her efforts to convert me, she just cannot stop preaching.
Send her links to this board and others and ask her to first check those out prior to continuing the JW recruiting efforts.

tell me i'm not overly thinking this.. i'm 39 years old...still youngish...but i worry about getting old.
i look in the mirror and it depresses me.
i suppose i still cling to watchtower utopia when no one would age over 25.. i used to look forward to paradise earth because it meant all the evil in the world, nuclear warfare, terrorist attacks and sickos would be no more, but we are deep in the 21st century with no end in sight.. appreciate your comments.
39 is still young enough to start all over again. You're still golden for doing whatever you need to do in life.

wherever i go, i say "thank you" to clerks, servers, delivery people, hosts and hostesses and the response has become invariable: "no problem!".
have i aged to the point i'm now an old fuddy duddy who doesn't "get it"?.
is it counted mannerly to avoid, "you're welcome" in favor of "no problem"?.
I have come to believe the "no problem" response is used mostly by the 'selfie' generation.
What else is to be expected from a generation that no longer reads, cannot spell or use proper Grammar, texts and drives, and the worst punishment is taking their electronic devices away.
It is annoying.

amazing that not only have we lasted so long but we're still thriving and growing.. thanks to all the people and often colorful characters who've contributed to the site over the years.
some are still here with us, some have since moved on, but all have touched each others lives in some way along our different journeys.. .

just for the mere fact that i wasn't anger and bitter and ready to declare the gb the sociopathic criminals that so many here ascribe to, my initial question digressed to bickering over ad hominem attacks against the gb and not my beliefs that i'm questioning.

Take for example last night. There we were all listening to the same old speech about things that we humans cannot really comprehend, lots of eyes just glazed over with boredom; who really cares though? What we get really happy about is the conversation, laughter, picture moments, future fun plans being made right then and there, joyful human interactions. This is what many a JW only cares about. Who cares about stupid particulars opened to interpretation like the very biblical text? I sure do not, and the more time I spend among this Spanish JW group, the more I understand that other JWs do not care either.
Hanging out happily together was the only game in town we cared about, and last night it all turned out very nice.😉

well on this side of the planet, the southern hemisphere/ new zealand, the 2016 memorial service in local kingdom halls will be over for another year.
another great big anticlimax.
some family and relatives will have gone - but unless i ask my sister, i generally have no idea about attendance and partaker numbers.
Will be attending this evening.
"Blah, blah, blah, same every year crap", then, nice meal and drinks with lovely people at some restaurant close by. It will be a nice evening.

i believe all our worst nightmare are believing money will make our life's complete.
i am not talking about money providing life's comforts, but i am mortified that contentment and happiness always requires " more money"..ummm i need a window cleaner, a flashy car and a 50inch t.v screen to be happy.
money...well in my opinion we need money integrity to be happy, but it seems such a waste of life to search for the making of money more than ....well what i mean "hey" most of us have more money than most, and would the making or having more money really make you happier?.
